Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This page explains what information this website (https://isaackataryeba.com) collects and how it's used. This is a personal portfolio site — it doesn't run ads, sell data, or use third-party analytics/tracking scripts.

Information you provide

The Contact page has a form asking for your name, email address, and message. Submitting it stores that information in the site's database and emails it to me, so I can reply to you. It isn't used for anything else, and isn't shared with any third party.

Local storage (theme preference)

Your light/dark mode choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not on the server. It's only ever read by this site to remember your preference on your next visit — no personal data is involved.

TikTok and YouTube integration

The homepage "Stories" strip shows my own recent public TikTok and YouTube videos, pulled periodically from those platforms' own APIs using an account I control. This process doesn't collect any information about you as a visitor — it only fetches metadata (titles, cover images, links) about my public videos so they can be previewed here, played through TikTok's or YouTube's own embedded player.

Embedded content

The Contact page embeds a Google Map. Loading that page may let Google set its own cookies for that embedded frame, governed by Google's privacy policy, not mine.

Cookies

This site doesn't set tracking or advertising cookies. A PHP session cookie is used only in the admin dashboard (/dashboard) to keep an editor logged in — it's not present anywhere on the public site.

Your rights

If you've submitted a contact message and want it deleted, email me and I'll remove it.

Changes

I may update this policy as the site changes. The date above reflects the last update.
