Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain
Psalm 127:1
My dream home is not defined by walls or design, but by God’s presence within it.
The Bible says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1). This is the foundation of my vision. I desire a complete home — a loving wife, God-fearing children, and a household ordered by faith, discipline, and love.
I dream of a home where God is honored daily, not only in words, but in conduct. A place where children are raised with instruction and example, as Scripture teaches: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). A home where correction is given with wisdom, and love is never absent.
I desire a home of peace and mutual respect. A home where my wife and I walk in unity, “two becoming one” (Genesis 2:24), supporting each other in purpose and responsibility. A home where comfort exists not for pride, but for rest, gratitude, and renewal.
Above all, I dream of a home where love is felt, where each member is seen, and where our way of life quietly reflects God’s order to the surrounding community. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).
This is the home I am praying for.
And this is the home I am preparing to build.
